It was a “Boys Trip” on Capt. James Smith “California Dawn”…headed out of Berkeley at dawn, and out the Gate for a very long day of fishing for halibut, ling and rock cod. Chef Tawny had her usual breakfast spread ready as everyone boarded, then prepared snacks and lunch as the day progressed.  The day was perfect with calm seas and excellent tides and the fishing could not have been better.  A great time was had…by the cronies: Ray Erck, Dennis Harvel, Matt Hilbrink, Larry Eng, Tom Robinson, Billy Gianquinto, Kurt Dittig, Larry Aaker, Marty Kitsman, Jared Johnson, Cory Kellar…and the 13 “California Sportsmen Radio Show” listeners.
